Chibuzo Opara is a researcher and project coordinator for the Euregio II project “Solutions for improving health care cooperation in border regions”, hosted by the Department of International Health at Maastricht University. His research interests include cross-border health care, cooperation in health care, international health policy, health care and globalization, health care in border regions and global health.

He has a clinical background in human medicine, and practiced surgery for 5 years inNigeria, along with a Masters in health policy, economics and management fromMaastrichtUniversity. He is currently a Ph.D fellow at the research school CAPHRI on the topic health care cooperation in border regions.
